  • Tasting note Fiano Vino della Stella Riserva 2020

The colour is deep straw yellow with golden reflections.

In the nose a complex and intense bouquet, with notes of Mediterranean fruit and herbs, hints of basil and mint with a strong mineral accent.

Full, pleasant, dynamic and fresh on the palate with Mediterranean contours. A long-lasting and complex white wine with plenty of finesse and invigorating acidity that gives it wonderful storage potential.

    Ideal foodpairing:
The Vino della Stella can handle almost any dish. Delicious with exotic dishes, grilled and smoked fish, but also well worth trying with truffle dishes.

    About this wine

This Fiano hailes from a 0.9 hectares parcel of old vines in the volcanic clay-limestone soil of Lapio, the heart of the Fiano di Avellino appellation. Here, the coolness, high altitude and daily temperature fluctuations lead to a wine with particular precision and complexity. Joaquin's vinification creates a beautiful concentration that makes the wine swell on the finish.

Hand-picked in late October, the wine undergoes a 2-day cold maceration after pressing. After a long 60-day fermentation, the wine rests 8 months sur lie in fibreglass and stainless steel tanks, without temperature control, followed by 12 months of bottle aging. This process tempers the youthful floral notes in favour of a distinctive roasted accent.
